Luxury buses to BKC soon

Thousands of office staff at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) will get some relief in their commute with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) deciding to buy 15 luxury buses and give them to the BEST to operate on the BKC-Kurla-Bandra route.

MUMBAI: Thousands of office staff at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) will get some relief in their commute with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) deciding to buy 15 luxury buses and give them to the BEST to operate on the BKC-Kurla-Bandra route.
MMRDA commissioner, Rahul Asthana said they have had talks with the BEST on the issue and will buy the buses shortly.

“The increased connectivity will add to the area’s prestige. First, buses will be used to link Kurla and Bandra (E) and then a link to Sion will also be started,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, MMRDA has invited tenders for the construction of a new bridge to replace the recently demolished Halaw Bridge at Kurla (W).
